Brilliance Tool

Intelligently enhance the lighting and vibrance of your photos.

Free · private · in-browser

Brilliance-style lighting and color in one slider

Lift flat shadows, add punch to midtones, and gently boost vibrance and highlights—without installing apps or uploading your file for editing.

Use it when a photo feels dull or underexposed: one control approximates the kind of global tone balance you see in Brilliance-style adjustments, with an Original / Edited toggle to compare before you export.

How to use the Brilliance tool

Load your photo

Upload a file or tap a sample thumbnail. Your image appears in the padded canvas as soon as it decodes—nothing is sent to our servers.

Dial in brilliance

Move the slider from 0 upward until shadows open up and colors feel lively. Use a light touch on portraits to avoid clipped highlights.

Compare and download

Switch Original and Edited to judge the change. Reset enhancements returns the slider to 0; Download saves your enhanced PNG when you are done.

Supported file formats

Load these types in the workspace. When you save, the result downloads as a PNG.

  • PNG
  • JPEG / JPG
  • WebP

Key features

Global tone and color boost with compare and private, in-browser processing until you save.

  • Single brilliance slider

One range from 0–100 blends shadow lift, exposure, vibrance, and highlight emphasis for a cohesive look.

  • Original vs Edited

Segmented compare switches instantly between the untouched photo and your current brilliance setting.

  • Full-image filter

No painting or resizers—the entire frame updates together, ideal when the whole scene needs the same lift.

  • Samples & upload

Try built-in examples or load your own PNG, JPG, or WebP; processing stays on your device.

  • Private local processing

Pixels are read and adjusted in your browser; we do not upload your image to our servers for this workflow.

  • PNG export

Download applies your current brilliance level to the full-resolution source and saves as PNG.

Common use cases

  • Low-light and indoor shots

Bring back readable detail in shadows and add life to scenes that looked muddy on your phone or camera.

  • Flat or gray daylight

When the histogram sits in the middle and colors feel lifeless, a touch of brilliance can restore depth without local edits.

  • Social posts and prints

Give portraits and landscapes a bit more pop before cropping for Instagram, LinkedIn, or small prints.

  • Quick one-pass enhancement

No brushes or masks—adjust globally, flip to Original to check skin tones and highlights, then download.

Pro tips

  • Increase brilliance gradually—very high values can blow highlights on already bright scenes.
  • Use Original to check faces and whites; if highlights clip, nudge the slider down slightly.
  • For very dark captures, a moderate brilliance setting often looks more natural than maxing the slider in one step.
  • This tool adjusts the whole image; crop or straighten in another step first if composition needs work.
