How to use Image Crop

Load your photo

Upload a file or pick a sample from the sidebar. The image appears letterboxed in the 1024×768 canvas.

Pick an aspect & adjust

Enable aspect controls, choose a preset or stay on Free form, then drag the crop box and corner handles.

Download

Use Show Edited to confirm framing, then Download to save the cropped region as PNG.

  • What is aspect ratio? It is width divided by height—1:1 is square, 9:16 is tall phone fullscreen. Matching preset to platform reduces surprise crops after upload.
  • Best crop sizes for social: 1080×1080 (1:1), 1080×1350 (4:5 feed), 1080×1920 (9:16 stories/reels)—export here at full source size, then platforms may downscale.
  • Leave a little headroom above portraits when using vertical presets so platforms do not clip hair or hats.
  • Toggle Show Original before export to verify nothing important sits outside the crop you see in Edited.
