Flip Image

Mirror your images vertically or horizontally with a single click.

Free · private · in-browser

Mirror photos in one click—horizontal, vertical, or both

Preview uses GPU-friendly scale transforms; Show Original strips mirrors instantly so you can judge lettering, faces, and horizons before PNG export.

Flipping is reversible in the workspace: each button toggles its axis independently, so you can combine horizontal and vertical mirrors (equivalent to a 180° spin for symmetric subjects, but with explicit control). Downloads rasterize the same scaleX/scaleY logic at full resolution—no server upload.

How to use Flip

Load your photo

Upload a file or pick a sample from the sidebar. The image appears in the bordered preview with generous padding.

Toggle mirrors

Tap Flip horizontally or Flip vertically as needed. Both can be active together. Use Show Original to double-check unmirrored pixels.

Download

When Show Edited matches your intent, tap Download to save PNG at full resolution.

Supported file formats

Open these types in the workspace. Download saves PNG at source dimensions with your flip state baked in.

  • PNG
  • JPEG / JPG
  • WebP

Key features

Independent toggles, CSS preview, combined flips, compare mode, Blur-aligned download control, sidebar samples.

  • Flip horizontal & vertical

Dedicated buttons map to scaleX(-1) and scaleY(-1) previews; active states use indigo emphasis so you always know what is on.

  • Show Original / Show Edited

Original removes both mirrors; Edited re-applies whatever combination you toggled—ideal for verifying asymmetric details.

  • Sample thumbnails

Same sidebar strip as Rotate and Blur: tap to load a demo image instantly.

  • Crisp white canvas

1px border, subtle grid, and generous padding mirror the rest of the professional toolkit.

  • PNG download

Export mirrors pixels on canvas with the same math you preview—not a screen grab.

  • Private processing

Everything stays in your browser until you download or share the file yourself.

Common use cases

  • Selfies & front-camera shots

Correcting selfie orientation: mirror horizontally so text or logos read naturally, then compare with Show Original to confirm.

  • Graphics & logos

When an asset needs to face the other direction, flip once instead of redrawing vectors or re-exporting from design tools.

  • Documents & screenshots

Quickly mirror a scan or UI capture for layout mockups while keeping the untouched original one toggle away.

  • Creative symmetry

Stack horizontal and vertical flips to explore kaleidoscope-style layouts before committing to a download.

Pro tips

  • When to mirror an image: flip horizontally when a subject should face the opposite direction, or when front-camera selfies feel 'backwards' compared to a mirror.
  • Correcting selfie orientation: compare Show Original vs Edited on any visible text—if letters look reversed in Edited, you will know horizontal flip is active.
  • Combining both flips is handy for upside-down imports; it is equivalent to a 180° rotation for content, but you can still undo each axis separately.
  • Export PNG after you finalize flips; re-saving mirrored JPEGs repeatedly can add compression artifacts elsewhere in your workflow.
